NBA BEAT kZm
Sixth piece of a 14-episodic video series showcasing NBA's influence on Japanese street culture.
KZM
In collaboration with the NBA, poweredby.tokyo spoke with rapper and style icon kZm about his influences and the impact basketball culture has made on his life. kZm credits the streetball community at Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park for introducing him to hip-hop at the age of 13. In a few short years he began his music career on Soundcloud, gaining a huge following as one of the most influential rappers in Japan’s music scene. The NBA is essential to kZm for both rap style and fashion sense, and his signature look almost always includes a pair of Air Jordans.
